We are looking for an outgoing, positive, and professional receptionist/vet assistant to join our beautiful alternative veterinary wellness center in Seattle. Come work in a peaceful environment where gentle healing is the emphasis.  Hours needed are  20-35 per week with flexibility to adjust hours as needed to meet the demands of business.

  • 1-2 years’ experience in the alternative healthcare field. 
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the veterinary field. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in offering exceptional customer service.
  • Loves to learn and thrives on change and challenge. 
  • Experience with animal restraint.
  • Days available to work could include variable schedules Monday – Saturday.
  • Hours available  M--F  9:30 -6:30pm, Saturday 9:30-2:30pm.  These hours could be subject to change.
  • Ability to multi task and see projects through to completion amidst a busy office. 
  • Must have well developed writing, math, and communication skills. 
  • A keen attention to detail and patience for people and animals is required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, QuickBooks, and internet navigation.
  • Must be willing to cross train among receptionist and vet assistant duties, including cleaning and maintenance of space. 
  • We are looking for someone who leads with initiative and desires to work in a forward thinking alternative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Answering phones and checking voicemails. 
  • Maintaining office emails. 
  • Greeting and checking out patients–always with a genuine smile and eye contact. 
  • Scheduling patient appointments for practitioners. 
  • Pulling charts and preparing paperwork for doctors’ appointments. 
  • Assisting the doctor with exams, patient restraint, preparing medications, client communications.
  • Following up with clients by phone calls.
  • Assisting in the daily maintenance tidying of the office and exam rooms–sweeping, vacuuming, sanitization,  and deep cleaning.
  • Participate in ongoing training and coaching.   
  • Inventory management and invoice preparation.
  • Assist in marketing efforts with the team.
